Why The Learning Village Was Created
The Learning Village was created from a place so many families understand — wanting a school where your child is accepted, supported, and truly feels like they belong.
Too many children with autism and other different abilities struggle in traditional school settings — not because they cannot learn, but because those environments are not designed for their needs, communication styles, behaviors, or strengths.
Many families are left with impossible choices. Parents are often forced to leave the workforce, reduce their hours, or live on one income because their child cannot attend school consistently. Many caregivers go without rest, without reliable support, and without the community they need. We started The Learning Village because families deserve more.

The need is real
Why This Matters
Many of our children want to go to school — but cannot thrive in environments that are not equipped to support them. Some families are forced to homeschool, not because it was their original plan, but because other options have not worked.
Some children have experienced stress, exclusion, or trauma from school settings that were not prepared to meet their needs. The Learning Village exists to create something different.
